Responsibilities:

• Provides expert level telephone and email support to Ixia customers located in China
• Achieves customer satisfaction and supports metric goals

Essential Functions:

• Assists customers with reported product failure, taking actions to resolve issues
• Investigates, analyzes and tests customer problems in a lab environment with L2/3 software ( IxNetwork first, and others later).
• Stays current on networking technologies and new Ixia product offerings.
• Programs and configures networking equipment, such as routers and switches (complex customer hardware)
• Interfaces with Development and Product Management on product design and supportability
 
Requirements:
• BS in Computer/Electrical/Telecommunicate Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years practical experience in tele-communication company.
• Expertise on Internet/Networking, on testing different layer 2-3 technologies ranging from subscriber access, routing, load balancing, security and general IP forwarding in IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, including:  OSPF, BGP IV, MPLS, MPLS VPNs, VPLS,  PPP, L2TP, GRE, IPSec etc.
• Industry experience with proven working knowledge in Ethernet, POS, ATM, PPP, HDLC, Fiber Channel
• Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese (written and verbal).
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work within the framework of a global team.
• Self-sufficient\self-starter who can work with little or no direction.
• Network Certifications desirable.
• Unix\Linux experience.
• Knowledge of TCL and/or Python programming languages as plus.
• Experience using Network test tools and Protocol Analyzers. 
• Solid knowledge and understanding of data networking technology, products, and designs.
