As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for the business development and sales support activities for Spirent Application Security products and services in China. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand in China. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits is crucial. In your role as a Product Specialist will be the technical expert in China, understanding the security needs of the market, customer buying criteria and transfer that knowledge to the sales team.  You will also work closely with sales, marketing, and customer advocacy to ensure Spirent is known in the Application Security space to both existing and new customers in China.
 
Major Responsibilities:
1.        Support sales team as the security technical expert. Communicate the value proposition of the products to sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products. Perform product demos to customers.
2.        Maintain regular and prompt communications to get latest product/solution update to share with sales team. Train System Engineers (Pre-Sales) and Sales on Spirent Application Security test solutions and provide according sales tools, success stories, etc.
3.        Work together on the key account WIN plans and strategies, making sure Spirent meets the customers’ requirements. Find out the customers’ requirements in both short term and long term and provide advanced trainings for key customers.
4.        Drive and manage strategic key projects with creating appropriate Spirent solutions. Launch new products/solutions to customers joint with sales and Marketing team.
5.        Feedback China key accounts’ requirements to Product Management team and influence AppSec Roadmap by constructing solid business cases.
6.        Provide inputs on specific Marcom events to drive business; review Marcom plan/support for key accounts; create according solutions content for Marcom purpose.
7.        Achieve annual sales quota for Application Security products and services in China.
 
 
Job Requirements:
1.        Bachelor’s degree, with a strong preference for engineering (ideally computer science or computer engineering), with 8+ years of post-college experience, with a reasonable portion of that time spent working in areas directly relevant to the responsibilities described above, in strategic and tactical deal execution roles with solidly demonstrated career progression.
2.        Hands on experience selling and positioning security solutions in China.
3.        Ability to clearly communicate technical details and business value of solutions to customers.
4.        Outstanding written & verbal communications skills in both English and Chinese and prior experience working in a similar role for a network or security vendor.
5.        Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a virtual team environment.
6.        Willing to travel.
7.        Technical Skills:
l  Strong technical skills in networking, security, applications and/or protocol design is desired.
l  Strong understanding of TCP/IP and IP based applications and protocols.
l  Familiar with network security technologies, including firewall, IDS/IPS, DPI, Endpoint Security, Load Balancer, IPSec VPN, SSLVPN, etc.
l  Familiar with network attack, Malware, penetration testing and Fuzzing test methodologies.
l  Operational experience with security, application-aware and deep packet inspection technologies.
l  Troubleshooting skills for networking and application protocols.
l  Proficient in Ethereal/Wireshark or similar tools and understanding packet flows and application messages.
l  Network / Security certifications, including CCNA, CCIE, and/or CISSP are a plus.
8.        Experience with Test & Measurement market is preferred.
